Hello, I have a cake due this friday, 2 days from now and the girl wants a margarita glass and sombrero on it. I would like some ideas on how you would combine these two on a 1/4 sheet cake. Something not too terribly detailed, but cute. Thanks for any help you all can offer. Misty

I did this. You could do the same thing in the corner of the sheet cake just replace the Corona with a sombrero.

Wow, that is awesome, but a lot more more time than I'm wanting to put into a 1/4 sheet birthday cake that I'm only charging $20 for. That's the going price for 1/4 sheets where I'm at. Thanks again for sharing.

for my friends 21st birthday we all went out for mexican food, so i made her a "mexican" theme cake, i made 3 stacked cakes with jalepeno peppers on the bottom layer and cactus on the 2nd layer and on the top i wanted to do something with margaritias, so i went to wal-mart and got the small champagne glasses that are used for wedding favors and made jello shots with teqilia and lime jello.

you could always make a sombrero and put the little margaritias around it!

Look at the margarita cake in my photos... I would do a sombraro with an upside down mini doll pan(that is called something else, but I can't think of what) and frosting built up for the rim... icon_smile.gif

That's a great idea, I wish I had read that first, I just ended up outlining a clip art pic of them and the glass I used piping gel and icing mixed together, and the sombrero I just used icing. Thanks for the cool tips, I probably would have used the mini doll pan idea if I'd gotten to read this earlier. Thanks again for all of the ideas. Misty
