I have a request to make a 10" round cake with a wedding shower theme for a man. I don't have any idea what to do. Any help will be appreciated.

honey do list?

ball and chain?

official notice: end of your freedom?

official notice: you're new owner: wife -- mom is no longer responsible?

remove brain -- insert tape>> "yes dear, what ever you say dear."

Is this a Male shower for a male wedding?

Either way you could make a cake With Chocolate accents. And it could be handsom instead of Pretty.

is this for 2 guys or girl/guy wedding?

If it's for a gay wedding - what kind of personality is the guy?

if it's for a straight wedding - what kind of personality is the guy?

hmmmm - so many simularities yet so much controversy... not on this board mind you, everyone here seams very open minded, but in politics and life.

Well I personally would make a very simple cake that is different shades of blue with possibly circles or squares on it, stripes or something contemporary....

I would think you could do something along the lines of the guy's hobby...OR you could even do a tux cake! Like a shirt cake but, do the tux he is wearing and the colors he'll have.

templates for these:

sheet cake: http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-photo_677463.html

heart cake: (which would adapt easily to a round) http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-photo_677433.html

or something like this. they are really fast and easy to make too. just skip the ribbon or put a less frilly plain white or black ribbon.

Thanks so much for the ideas everyone. By the way it is not a gay wedding it is just a cake ordered for a male co-worker at a bank that is getting married to a woman. I think I'll go with the ball and chain idea.

Jamiet, that is so funny, I work at a bank too! The one I did was a Wilton design called "bowled over" - here is the web address for the design:
