I'm looking for some ideas for an 80's themed bday cake for my daughter's 11th bday. The party theme is 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun'... I'm at a total blank and need some inspiration.

I was going to make an 80s themed cake for a party my sister was having. Then the 80s theme was cancelled and it was just a party. (so i made the beer bucket cake) but when i was looking for things i could make i thought about making like a 2 or 3-tiered cake with chocolate transfers of different things from the 80s. Like New kids on the Block, pacman, my little ponys, pound puppies, care bears, etc.... You can look up 80s nostalgia on google and find a bunch more stuff. HTH. I was soo excited to make this cake. Hopefully one day i'll have a reason to.

Girls just wanna have fun:
Use bold shinny colors, like streamers piped with icing or sprayed with color (i use wilton sprays or my airbrush) on top of a pastel bakground; a very cool pair of sunglasses, in the 80's we used shaped sunglasses like hearts, lips, stars; lace like those fingerless lace gloves. Beads, I used to wear beaded bracelets (you know, the palstic ones). Big earings.
