I've looked through the posts on CC regarding sandcastle cakes as well as the amazing photos of members and that of Mike's Amazing Cakes. I am wondering have any of you found a better way to do the towers and the little squares on top of a sandcastle cake. I was thinking of molding sugar for this. I have a request for one and want to get it right. The bride wants the entire thing edible and I couldn't convince her to go with one of those styro castles.

Anyway, I don't mind the challenge and it looks like fun, plus I get to do a tool box groom's cake also.

If any of you have found a way that you feel works really well for the sandcastle, please share your wisdom with me.

Thanks for your help.

rice krispie treats work well with molding them into shapes. people also use different ice cream cones for the towers. you can also stack cakes cut out w/ round cookie cutters. i've also seen stacked donuts. hth.
