Can anyone tell me the best way to secure gumpaste roses to MMF? Would wire or toothpicks work? Any help greatly appreciated!!

I make my gumpaste roses on toothpicks and just insert them into the cake. icon_biggrin.gif

You can also use icing to attach the roses.

What kind of icing would be best?

I've read to use royal icing a lot but I always use buttercream.

when I make big roses or any flower, I insert a toothpick before they dry. For smaller ones, use royal icing. Royal Icing is like stucco to cake. Very good glue, never fails.
