I'm trying to figure out that costs of my ingredients when I make cakes/cookies. Could someone tell me how many cups make up a pound of each of the following: all purpose flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar. Thanks.

Q. How much does a cup of regular sugar weigh?

A. A measuring cup of granulated sugar weighs a little over 7 ounces or 200 grams. A pound of sugar is right around 2-1/4 cups.

light brown sugar = golden brown sugar (1C = 6 ounces)

I agree with Khalstead, and:

1 pound is equal to 454 grams....

Here's another one: http://www.ellenskitchen.com/pantry/flourfacts.html

When I started buying in 50-lb bags, I needed to figure my cost per cup. I hadn't discovered you all yet, so on ask.com I queried "how many cups of flour in a pound" and came up with a number of websites.
