Special Cake Pan Needed...anyone Seen It Ever?

Has anyone ever found round cake pans for sale that have a special tool built in to remove the cake without it sticking. The pan basically has a metal tool attached to the bottom with a handle on the sides that you spin around after the cake is baked and cooled to get the pan out. My best friend described this to me yesterday as something she would really like to have, got engaged hours later and said can't find at all. I would love to give her this as a present for her engagement. She said the pan she wants her mother got from her grandmother (it's since been lost) and she's never seen one in a store.
I had two a long time ago, long gone. I loved them. If you do find them would you please post where. thanks and good luck
Hey... I forgot about those. My mom had them when I was a kid. I remember always asking to spin the thing around to get the cake out. I haven't seen them since then. Someone has got to still make them out there... ebay may be your best bet... just not sure how to search it out... unless you just scroll through all the cake pans. UGH!
Good Luck and let us know if you find them!
I've got one, it was in a box of cake decorating things I bought from a lady in Montana. I'm afraid to use it frankly, I'll have to check out what size it is for sure.
I do remember my mom having one years ago also.
I also wanted to say my mother was not into baking and the pans would have been on the cheapy side(I don't remeber them being very heavy.)So,I would probably say maybe an EKKO brand.Like you see in the grocery steres.
I think they were a 70's thing as I too remember my mom having them. If I remember right she still used to grease them before baking the cakes in the them.
My Mom has a set of these cake pans. I think they make a 9 inch cake. I think this is what you are talking about. Here is a link to an ebay auction:

The item number is 4388939720 in case the link doesn't work.
Good luck!
Thank you especially for the link! I am trying to buy these now on e-bay. This friend of mine is not a baker, but she has a weird thing for these pans and will love this!!
I have found these pans at the grocery store Kroger. I don't know if you have this store in your area, but I just saw them this past week. You may try another grocery store in your area.
Try the thrift Stores, Goodwills and Salvation Armies. I see them in these places all the time when I look for character pans.
Boy, do thos epictures bring back yummy memories! My grandmother used to make the best banana spice cakes ever using those pans!
