Does anyone have an awesome icing for diabetics?? One that is complimentarty to all kinds of cakes? Plus has more of a buttercream texture.

I tried the Italian Meringue b/c of the low sugar... but it was a disaster!! Its too hot in Texas haha. Or if anyone has any tips on how to make the Italian MBC better or another recipe I"M DYING TO HEAR IT !!

HELPPPPP

I use cream cheese, meringue powder and splenda. I am not sure it would be suitable for every cake. I have yet to try butter, meringue powder, and splenda. I don't see why it won't work. Stay away from milk but cream is okay, since it has less carbs. Combining chocolate and splenda is tricky, splenda makes the chocolate more bitter.

Carbs matter to diabetics, so cakes using wheat flour are still not diabetic.

Just removing or lessening sugars, honey, etc does not make a cake okay for a diabetic.
