Help Need Alternative Solution

I have just ran out of non stick spray for my cake pans! What should I use in it's place. I can't go out now to get more b/c of the rain rain rain!!! If i use butter and flour it might brown and burn my cake tops, so do i use shortening with flour? Help. I thank you in advance for any help.

No problem!! You can use Crisco. You can flour it too if you want, but you don't have to!

Have you tried the recipe on CC for cake release? It is like the wilton stuff. Here it is. I never have luck with crisco. You might try crisco w/ parchment too.

Got this from a previous thread:
cake release recipe

1/3 c. vegetable oil
1/3 c. Crisco
1/3 c. flour

I throw it all in a little slicer/dicer/mixer type machine and it turns into a beautiful goo that I keep in my old washed out Wilton Cake Release bottle that has the squeeze top!

Or you can line your pan bottoms/sides with parchment paper. Glue with Crisco or veg oil or butter/margarine.
Other: use Crisco, but instead of dusting with flour, use powdered cocoa or powdered sugar (if white or chocolate color).
