Gallery for Cupcakes!!!

I think there should be a seperate gallery section for Cupcakes. Cupcakes seem to be "all the rage" right now and with so many people trying CCC's and CCB's and alot of us just loving cupcakes I think it'd be nice to be able to go straight to a seperate gallery section dedicated just to cupcakes! icon_smile.gif

I would hope that if it is an option in the future people would upload all creations that are made with cupcakes including CCC but not limited to those.

I've done many cupcakes for "extras" at parties to go along with the cake and I've had to put them in either "other cakes" or "mini cakes" now granted yes they are concidered a mini cake but I think having a section dedicated strictly to Cupcakes would be great! not only because we could go there for inspiration for making a nice pretty snack for our kids/family but we could also open this section up to our customers whom are looking for a nicer way to have cupcakes... showing all the wonderful decorating techniques we can do with a simple little mini cake icon_wink.gif

I totally agree with you! It has been very time consuming for me in the past to hunt down strictly cupcakes in the gallery. Also, as you pointed out cupcakes, in all their forms, are all the range now and I've caught that bug now too.

I think that is a great idea, cupcakes are very popular right now. We have a few shops here dedicated to only selling cupcakes. I went to one last week and they must be popular, they're selling cupcakes for almost $5 each and they aren't decorated in a special way just iced ontop. They do have some pretty fancy flavors though. Wen't out of curiousity and I've decided mine taste better and are prettier.

I know Jackie and Heath are vey busy with everything else they are doing and this would be alot of work in the "coding" department but I really think this is a good idea and so is the sheet cake gallery idea further down in this forum section.. I vote yes for both.

I think having a gallery dedicated to cupcakes is important because not everyone on here uses keywords when uploading, and not everyone gives a description so when you search Cupcakes you don't get ALL the cupcakes on the site and we could be missing some really beautiful cupcakes lol. I for one hate when I go view a picture and see it has no description and no keywords nothing at all written about the cake at all and then when asked in comments... they still don't give any details... I don't know I guess I just think it would be easier to find all the cupcakes if they were in the same section.

I've recently made a Cupcakes section on my website so that all the cupcakes are in one place that way if someone is looking for just cupcakes they don't have to go to every other photo page looking for them. icon_wink.gif

I don't make cupcakes (i try very hard to void them!) but I think a cupcake section would be fabulous! They are getting a lot of press right now and lots of brides would be browsing the CC galleries for ideas ... having them in one place for easy access would be great!

I agree, I recently uploaded a photo of some cupcakes, and although they were to go with a birthday cake (the one on my avatar) I ended up putting them in the petit four category - I then noticed that section is for weddings! It will be frustrating for someone looking for petit four ideas to find the category swamped with cupcake pics too!

I couldn't agree more! Great idea! thumbs_up.gif Although, like someone else mentioned, Jackie and Heath have a lot on their plates right now with the upgrades, etc. Fabulous idea!!! I have spent many an hour trying to do a cupcake specific search and ended up plugging along through tons of other like themed pictures. Great, great idea!!! icon_smile.gif

I was just coming on here to suggest this but I see several of you are on the same path. I want to start doing them more since I have so much fun with the mini ones I make and everyone likes them. I think I am even going to name my cupcake business something separate from my cake business... pigtails and cupcakes... those are 2 things that make everything better! icon_biggrin.gif

I would love to see a seperate sight just for cupcakes. It is so helpful to hear from others with similar problems and together find ways to solve them. It is great when your idea pool runs dry, to see what everyone else is doing and exchange ideas etc. I vote yes.
