I have never ordered from Sugarcraft, but I've ordered from intotheoven twice and have been very pleased. My orders shipped so quickly and their shipping prices are reasonable, even for heavy fondant. Their site doesn't have as much variety as some, but they seem to be adding more all the time.

My problem is a little different. I placed a large order and it took AGES before it went through. Then when I finally got it there were some backorders. I am just waiting for them (they are supposed to be in now) and they will process my credit to my card for the discontinued items. Nothing came damaged or wrong. I just found it really frustrating. Plus I don't like being charged in full for items they cannot ship.

Their selection is amazing. That's why I ordered in the first place. Since I pay big shipping costs to Canada (we are a million miles away icon_razz.gif ) I like to place my orders with one company if I can.

I would like to know the answer to this...unless it was for slander...as long as it was proven to be true w/what yall are saying then there is nothing they can do..you are only warning people about the experiences you have had..is this only a website or is this an actual business that also has a website?

I had the same question. There are sites dedicated soley to complaining about certain kinds of businesses, so I don't really see how they could bring a suit against you or anyone else.

I have ordered from them and have to admit that I have had decent luck with them. We now order directly from CK Products and order most other things from www.thebakerskitchen.com. The Bakers Kitchen is awesome!! They have went out of their way to help me out several times.

I also agree that the SugarCraft site is awful to navigate. It doesn't flow very well!

Also coldtropics -- I used the SPS system for the first time over the weekend and I will never use anything else!!!!!! I love it!!!! I was scared to death Saturday morning, but I felt so good leaving that cake. It felt much more stable than dowels!

Thanks for the warning!

I had a long list of items I was going to order, but not now!

My vote goes to intotheoven.com as well. Their fondant is the cheapest I've found, their shipping is really reasonable and don't forget to take a look in their forum where they have a discount code you can use!

Curious, I looked up the BBB report.

Guess I got lucky when I placed my order with them.
I recently placed an order with CountryKitchen and their delivery and service were top-notch!
I've got my eye on a few things at intotheoven.com, too. icon_biggrin.gif

moralna ... I'm so sorry to hear about your awful experience. That is appalling that they would send you a USED item and then give you the runaround and threaten a lawsuit!!! icon_confused.gificon_mad.gificon_evil.gifthumbsdown.giftapedshut.gif What the heck??? I have also had bad experiences with them in the past (not to mention that they have the WORST customer service I have ever dealt with), and I will never, ever order from them again. I don't know how they stay in business.

On a more positive note, I would also like to sing the praises of Into the Oven! They are one fantastic company. I ordered some cupcake liners (very cute ones, too ... they have a great selection of them!) a month or so ago for a wedding I have coming up in a couple weeks, and I got an email from the owner the next morning saying that they only had half of my order in stock. She said that she would send me what she had and then would send me the rest as soon as they came in. Very nice. So, I tried the cupcake liners last week (ordered extras because I liked them so much!), and realized that there were only 60 per package (the website said there were 100 per package). I emailed their customer service and got a very quick response from the owner, apologizing and offering either a partial refund or to send me extras. I opted for the extras. They arrived at my house only a couple days later. So, I am very pleased with them and will be ordering from them again and again! thumbs_up.gif

I don't recall the specific post, but just register and take a look at the posts. There aren't all that many because it's fairly new, you could read them all in just a couple of minutes. It's been a while since I used the code, hopefully the offer is still valid.

I think they're just trying to stir up some interest and get their forum up and running. I know they emailed me a 15% discount code just for posting there!

What they told me was that their lawyer was contacting Cake Central and they were going to file a suit and so they tried to scare me - as if I were a child - and asked me if I wanted to be included int he suit. My answer to them was - "yes, please include me with the rest of the names you have of people who have filed complaints. I would love to join that group in filing against you!" And they never again mentioned their lawyer or a suit. I was wondering is there a way for us to band together as one unit and file a real formal and legal complaint??? There must be something we can do if there is so many problems with this business!!

Well, I just found out from another of my CC friends that the product that I ordered from Sugarcraft - which was the Nascar race car kit was from a manufacturere who had been shut down 3 years ago becasue of the legality of selling the racecar branded cakes and so they were selling my an old kit and the edible decals that came with the kit were way expired - that's why when I opened the decal packaging there was a foul odor.

I am wondering now - if the company who used to manufacturer the kit went out of business because of legality issues wouldn't it be illegal for Sugarcraft to sell me that kit? And if so, who could I report them to for selling me that kit??

If you think there's a copyright violation, report it to whatever company has the copyright, in this case it would be Nascar.

You can go to their website and email them telling them that your concerned about the legality of you purchasing and using the kit. Anything they choose to do after that is up to them.

I can't believe that company is so unprofessional. I don't know how long they've been in business, but they won't last long if this is their usual way of treating their customers.

And most definitely save any emails you have from them and report them to the bbb!

1. yes you could all ban together and go to small claims court without a lawyer. It's like 5000 max and cost 25 dollars where I'm at.
2. You can't sue for slander unless you have had something said that was a complete lie.
3. You can not sell something if it a copyright infringement. That's why we are not allowed to sell sponge bob, Dora, or Nascar cakes.
4. Niceness gets you a hell of alot farther than being an **edited** a**hole. If better customer service was used, nothing would have come up on this site.

I actually posted recently about how quick their shipping was. However, my order was not correct. I called to have them correct the order and I just saw a charge for $16 on my bank card. They sent me 3 champagne luster dusts when I needed 2 super gold and a super pearl. So they went ahead and charged me for the extra when it was their fault! They even charged me shipping.

My first order will be my last order. There are plenty of other places to shop.

It is amazing to see that they are still getting way with these ridiculous tactics and appalling customer service!

I had a run-in with them also a couple of years ago...as well as sooo many others. They shipped me the wrong item also and wanted me to pay to ship it back or buy what I originally ordered! IT WAS A TIP! icon_lol.gif A #10 tip!! Normally it wouldn't have been that big of a deal, it's only a $1 but I was just so shocked at the response and how nasty they quickly got, it became the principal of the matter. Who wants to lose business over a tip? I was going to ship it back but didn't trust anything with them after that. Why they just couldn't put it in a darn envelope and mailed it, is beyond me.

Not to mention my shipping was outrageous. The one good thing was that it came very quickly.

I know others have had decent experiences and someone will have an issue every now and then (with any company) but this is crazy. I've never heard so many complaints (and just awful ones at that) with any other supply company. Nothing like this. It's one thing if it was just rude service or missing items every now and then but they can be totally 100% in the wrong and will fight you to the end!

I double dog dare them to try to sue people for what is true! icon_lol.gif

I just wanted to add that AFTER I check for something here on CC, I then order from www.countrykitchensa.com, and they are excellent.

Great, Great, Great customer service. They will call you on the phone if something isn't available and give you the option of substituting another item, or refunding your money. They are also extremely fast.

You can count me in

How did they know who you are?

What a joke. They are full of hot air. They wouldn't have the money for a law suit and a good lawyer wouldn't even consider taking a suit like that.
Just take a look at their BBB record that says alot about them.

Sugarcraft is located just outside of Cincy, about 20 minutes from our store. At least once a day someone comes in and has a long story about how rude they are there and how much trouble they have getting they stuff they need. We have quite a few regular customers who drive past sugarcraft to get to us.
Next time anyone needs something, order from us. I promise it will be a better experience than ordering from sugarcraft! thumbs_up.gif

Went to add to my favorites and it's all ready there. I also like www.countrykitchensa.com

My experience, if someone tells you they are going to sue you or talk to their lawyers they are full of beans. Anyone that is going to do something like that doesn't talk about it you know when you are served with papers.

The web is open for you to say whatever you want. If I want to start a site called "I hate Sugarcraft" there is nothing they can do about it. Instead of hiring a lawyer, why don't they hire a company that will show them better customer service.

Wow! I've ordered from them several times without incident, but after reading the BBB site, the complaints against them at ripoffreport.com, and this thread I will stop ordering from them, and delete them from my favorites immediately! It is appauling how they treat their customers, the people who are the reason their shop is open! thumbsdown.gif
