My baby brothers will be 5 in August. And of course I said " I'll do the cake". Now I have no idea where to start. Well I have a few things in my head after searching google, but other ideas would be wonderful!
Thanks!

well, you could make a "parody" of the S as the shrek logo, but do the number 5 with shreks ears instead. Here's an example of the S:

Heck, I think the bordering on it would be cool too.

That is a very cute idea calejo (with the ears)...you could also do that with their initials. Just an idea! icon_lol.gif

Here is an image I have saved off the internet if you want to do a BCT.

Have fun!

Do they have fav characters? I love the donkey and puss-n-boots. Maybe that could be a starting place. Cupcakes are the big thing now .......maybe do two cupcake stands, one for each brother........ one with deco from Shrek 1 and one with deco from Shrek 2. Just brain storming............ icon_biggrin.gif Maybe the place where Shrek lives.... a swamp, right? or by a swamp in a tree? I can't remember.

OH, or in Shrek 2 when they are in the potion room.... you could make a multi tier cake with potion bottles on the side of it with shrek, the donkey and puss-n-boots trying to get to the top with the big top bottle being the birthday wish potion..........

I am getting way out there now.......... icon_biggrin.gif

I did a Shrek bday party for my son last year - very fun! I did the BCT using the same image posted above and it was relatively easy. Then I made a key lime cheesecake tinted green, and cut out a stencil of the S Shrek symbol. (Just used regular computer paper - worked fine). I laid the stencil on the cheesecake and piped whipped cream over the rest of the cheesecake. When I lifted the stencil, I had a white background with a green Shrek symbol in the middle.
