I am doing a cake for my best friends daughter, whom is like my niece. Her b-day is in August and I am trying to come up with something different than your standard plain cake for an 18 yr old , any ideas? I am looking for something fun (and rated pg-13). Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have all of the Wilton molds in this line and love them. Just very lightly dust and go.

You can do a lot of different things w/beach themed/flip-flop ideas. There's a lot of cute stuff in the galleries to go by. Do you know what the theme of her party is?

Is the girl headed off to college? You could do the mascot of the school she will be attending. Let's see, what else do 18 year old girls like... phones, music, shoes/fashion, shopping (you could do a cool shopping bag), did she play a sport in high school? Maybe a soccer ball cake? A giant bottle of sun tan oil?

My will be turning 18 in Sept and her most fav thing is Strawberry Shortcake. Seems silly for an 18 yr old to like Strawberry Shortcake but it is the in thing around her to like old toys and it's "Retro". So, I am going to do something with SSC. Does she like something like that?
My mom made me a money cake when I turned 18 and it was a hit. The big joke was I was always saying, "More money, Mom" so she did that on a cake and folded dollar bills and had them sticking out all over it. Wish I had a picture here to scan in.
Is she going to college? In a sorority? Work's at a cool place? Fav Food?
Fav Color? Fav pet? Can her name be used in a play on words?
Just throwing stuff out there.......... food for thought.

Thank you all for your replys. I have been on vacation, so I have been off for awhile. She is not involved in sports, and not sure about college yet-she is going to be a senior in hs this year. I am not crazy about our mascot-wildcat. She really loves kids. When she is not working at arbys,or b-sitting , she is with her boyfriend. So i'm not sure.....
