Hey guys - I am a SAHM in the process of starting an event/wedding planning business. My aim is to provide all inclusive services (decorating, catering, cakes, dresses....) I KNOW I am capable of and can provide all event services, what I would like to know from more experienced decorators is how realistic is it to provide cakes as well as everything else...
Also I'm in Philly, so if anybody needs any event services, let me know!!! I'm good.... icon_wink.gif

Megan:

WOW! I'm impressed. icon_smile.gif

I've often thought of the same type of thing. However--for me--once I found out just how many "steps" are involved in the simplest of wedding cakes, I opted out of that particular whimsy! icon_wink.gif

Personally, I'd rather just do the decorating/baking end of it. But that's just me. And it never fails--seems like every time I think I have everything I already need for a cake, I'm STILL running to the cake supply! And when I put together all the stress that goes along with everything else involved in JUST THE CAKE? Wow.

So, I say this: If you see this dream as a real possibility in your life, GO FOR IT! You'll probably need to hire a personal assistant, though. Or perhaps a business partner who can provide a cash boost to startup, as well as being involved heavily in the running/finishing aspects?

I wish you the best, you sound stoked!
