they are the wilton cutters...i dont know the size...came in pack of 3..cat , ghost, and pumpkin...i have pics in the october cookie theme post if looking at them will give yall a better idea...

No way! Do NOT go less than $1, but I've never actually sold any cookies. Go with what the others are saying on here.

I was thinking.....If you do orders.......that $15/ dozen would be a bargain for customers. Don't know if that would be high enough for reality , though.....then, say "so much more" for another dozen....??????????

Sorry I'm not much help, but .75 is WAY TOO LOW!

Thanks Yall...I think I messed up BIG TIME! ARGH...I felt pressured and my mom was like 1.00 is way too much...so i putstinkin .75 on them...I could CRY!!! im so stupid. what do i do now? How do i correct this for future orders? Could i get away with calling them trial cookies since they are each packaged as singles? OMG IM SO STUPID!!!!

Not familiar with the size of those cookie cutters.... If they are small then you are probably priced right...if they are large style then I'd up it! Check to see what your competition in the bakery and stores are selling them for!

You're not stupid! I know in NC we don't get as much for things as around other areas. I think if you are doing this at the farmers market that we talked about before you will be about right with the price in our area. I made cookies tonight too! LOL I would probably ask .75 each for them they are standard cookie cutter size. The lady at the flea market down here gets a lot more for the real big cookies, but you know how it is down here. If you sell them at .75 each you will probably sell out, but if you mark them too high you will end up with some left and overall not make as much off of them due to the excess. Do them at .75 tomorrow and see how it goes. Then you can mark them up next time. If anyone asks why just tell them what you said, they were a trial batch or even say they were left over so you had them marked lower.

You just need to figure out how much it took to make them and how many you go out of it. That way you are sure not to shaft yourself.

OR- if you are especially proud of your end result...just add a number 1 in front of the .75 ! I recently had a neighbor order a cake. I came up with a design, figuring that ideally i should charge $80-$100 but for a friend, maybe 60-75. When she asked me the price, i got sheepish (you know how that goes, we dont want to scare away a customer with a high price when they can get a cake mix for a dollar) and then she said she had budgeted $100 so i just needed to tell her straight up how much i wanted. dont undersell yourself if you're proud of your work!

Thanks yall...I feel better after reading what you said..and finishing off the rest of the ice cream...icon_sad.gif

I have found that it is really hard in this are where i am to sell things for what they should be...from what i figured it cost me about .28 a cookie to make and decorated, then id have to add in electric and packaging(wasnt much) so maybe .75 isnt that bad after all...ill just have to charge more for my Christmas cookies as they are MUCH bigger than the ones that i have for tomorrow.

I want people to buy my stuff so that they know how good it is..
well I guess ill see and what will be will be...if nothing else i had fun doing them...and if they dont sell well then the kids have snacks for a while...lol

Another thing to think about Tif is that if you sell them for 1.00 then you don't have to worry about making change for anyone. Most people have dollar bills but not always change change. I would not sell them for less than a dollar either. Grocery stores and other places sell their yucky tasteless cookies for min of 89 cents but most are more than a dollar.

I do not have any pics of last year's cookie, but I will be taking some this year...I finally got a digital camera for the shop. I will post them to my gallery.
