Hello, I am a cake artist here in Kansas City and have buttercream down pat. I have limited knowledge in fondant and no knowledge in gum paste, sugar paste, pastillage, pulled sugar, etc. I would really like to learn more but I know good teachers are hard to come by. Would it be best to just try some on my own first or do like a beginner class to learn the basics, practice, and then take a seminar. I am eager to learn..can someone give me a suggestion on who would be good, in my area, to learn from?

Thanks,

Joe

P.S. I do know that going to the Wilton school would be one of the best..but there are so many classes you HAVE to go through before getting to the other stuff.

Rebecca Sutterby is an AWESOME decorator new KC. She has been on a Food Network Challange too! She is offering a class in Oct.

http://www.sugarcreations.com/class.htm

It states the class if full, but you might email her and see if she has a alternate list in case of cancellations.

Her website is www.sugarcreations.com
