OK, for me, it looks almost surely I'll be able to get licensed in my home (unless something unfortunate happens), but "IF" I had to go to a commercial kitchen, what do I have to do there? Like, do I just need to bake there or do I also need to decorate there?

Second, how would they EVER check on your health inspection (or do they if it's a separately licensed kitchen) as you wouldn't be there all the time?

Third, wouldn't it be easy to circumvent the system? Like you set up a commercial space and have it as your kitchen, but secretly you use your own kitchen? I can't have been the only person who's thought of that (not proposing it or condoning it, just realizing that who would know???)

Lastly, isn't having a commercial kitchen also a tax saving measure? If it's part of your cost, you can deduct it. You can't do that for a private kitchen as you also us it for your residential needs. (Something for people to think about - the cost of renting might not be that much of an increase when taxes are taken into account). Now, if you had to set up a separate kitchen in your home for baking, that would also be deductible as it is a business expense.

the health dept. has to check your comm. kitchen and inspect it every so often.
i have to have a seperate kitchen in kansas. and it has to be commercial, certian rules, certian esquipment.
