I saw hazelnut extract at the store today and was wondering if it was good and what type of frosting you would add it to. Has anyone tried this?

You can make hazelnut buttercream, which is good on chocolate cake, and absolutely wonderful in a Chocolate Buche de Noel. Just tint it a light brown, so it looks like a tree trunk.
