I am looking to purchase a white pedestal cake stand. I will be displaying a 4 teired wedding cake on it. I am thinking that the wilton one won't be big enough as it says that it only holds cakes up to 10" big. Does anyone know of anywhere that I could buy one that looks nice and is big enough? Thanks so much!!!

Do you have a Home Goods near you? They have lots of cake stands and they are beautiful. I bought a white one recently and I love it.

I'm not sure about size, but Hobby Lobby (if you have one near you) usually put their glass item on sale every few weeks and also run 40% off every other week. Just check their website to print out this coupon. Also, check ebay. But the shipping will probably be high. And I always check the thrift stores around me. Good Will, St. Vincent DePaul (great prices!) Hope this helps a little.

OOOHHH I sooo love homegoods, even if you can't find the right cake stand oyu can usually created one out of the many many glass ware items they have. Great suggestion thumbs_up.gif

I collect pedestal cake stands, have about 20 now and most of them I have found on eBAY. Go to eBAY search and type in "Pedestal Cake Plates" and it will come up with probably 100 different designs. If you want a specific plate I would type in, for instance, "Shoe Cake Plate" and it should bring up several by Dept. 56. The red shoe plate in my avatar as well as a Witches shoe Halloween plate they make and Santa's boots with a glass domed top. Have fun and don't yell at me if you become an avid collector and spend all kinds of money. icon_biggrin.gif

I was in a Marshalls the other day (southern New Hampshire) & they had some very nice china cake stands that were similar in appearance to Lenox (but they weren't) for about $10.00. They had several sizes, the largest of which was probably about 12".

Thanks everyone! I am still having a hard time looking for the one I have in mind. I need it to be at least 14" in diameter to put a 6-8-10-12" tiered cake on it! I think I am going to take my hubby up on his idea and let him make me one from wood, and then I can paint it white! Thanks...you guys are great!
