I made my own wedding cake 27 years ago and made the frosting with hi-ratio frosting. My son is getting married next fall and has asked that I make the wedding cake. Those relatives that were at my wedding are asking that I make the same frosting. I have lost my recipe, and am not even sure where to get hi-ratio shortning, but thought I would start first with finding the recipe. Any help would be appreciated!

I use a recipe that I got from CakemanOH and it is as follows:

1 cup hi-ratio shortening
7 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup water
1 tsp flavoring (or more depending on your preference)

Just mix the ingredients together. It tastes wonderful and crusts nicely.
