should i beat the meringue pwd and water first or put it all together and mix?? i need perfect royal that dries very hard. tia--- tracy

My instructor had us mix the meringue powder with the powdered sugar... not sure if that was right or wrong though.

I've done it both ways and haven't seen a difference.

I put the water and MP in my KA and mix on HIGH for awhile to fluff it up before I add my sifted PS. Works great!

I put everything in the mixer and mix it on low for 8 minutes. I walk away from it so I am not tempted to touch it. Works everytime, then I add water to smaller parts of the mixture to get the right consistency for small projects.
