I used the cherry chips in dark chocolate cookies to get a dark chocolate cherry chip cookie they were very good. They do have quite a flavor to them so I ran them under my chopper so they were smaller pieces then the chips.
Just an idea

THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH!!!! I REALLY APPRECIATE IT icon_smile.gif
I do know about the cherry chips that are similar to chocolate chips. I get them at Wal*Mart, and they are yummy in cookies icon_smile.gif
I think I am going to give the marchino cherrys a try. I think that might just do the trick. I don't know that they will be as sweet as the BC mix, but I have had no luck with their mix. I just started to get her to eat buttercream frosting, I don't want to mess with her favorite too much!!

Thank you all again for the help.

Wanna know something creepy? There are no acutal cherries (dried or otherwise) in Betty Crocker Cherry Chip mix! I looked up the ingredients. I think it's corn cereal dyed red. That's sick! icon_surprised.gif

I know!!! I looked on the ingredients panel, and was hoping to figure out what to use but no luck!! I also thought of a couple more things I might be able to use!! Anyone know about the sour cherry ball candies? I thought if I put them in the food processor that may work, or if I had some cherry flavoring, I could add it to sugars or sprinkles or something like that! What do you all think????

I've seen the minature cherry chips at Reasor's in Tulsa, OK. I have never used them or had the cherry chip cake.
