Since we can't sell or make character cakes, What do you do if someone wants a spongebob cake or power rangers.

I will usually go to the store and find something that will work as a decoration and just do my own thing. Once you buy a character you can do what you want. You could also do the FBCT and probably be OK. or the choc transfers. Alot of times you can buy the actual kits from like Wal-Mart. Since the pans are intended for home use, and not for selling the cakes, some still do them anyway. Its just a matter of taking a chance.

I guess it depends on how big your business is. I still make and sell a few of them, not too many though. I'd rather do my own version instead of a shaped pan. I just sell on the side, word of mouth, very small business, so I am not too worried about Sponge Bob's lawyer seeking me out icon_lol.gif Often times I will do a sheet cake with the characters drawn on top filled in with stars.

I do like SweetResults - bake a few shaped but draw most of them & fill in with star tips
