I just tried the NFSC recipe - YUM! Making Alice's tomorrow.
How far ahead can these be made and decorated?
Frozen? I saw that some frosting do not work well for freezing, so I wondered about this one specifically.
Do these cookies work well for sprinkling with sugars before baking? Anything else I am forgetting?

Oh, any easy way to do 650 soccer ball cookies???????? icon_rolleyes.gif Just an idea!

First off, I liked Alice's icing. It turned out just as nice as Antonia's. Heard not recommended to freeze due to the moisture, but others have said they have frozen them (and really wrapped them well) with success. I made mine a week ago, had them setting out for 3 days due to icing them, then covered them for another day (mind you that everyday another few cookies were missing by my little rugrats) and then the final 4 were sent to my Mom clear across the U.S. and she said they tasted wonderful. Now that's a cookie that is over a week old and still yummy! Since these cookies are bland, sprinkling sugars wouldn't give them enough sweetness, I think. It's the icing that balances it.
As far as making 650 cookies....Start that mixer turning....you're crazy! But good luck!
