OMG! I cannot believe I just sat here and read all 16 pages! And I have been LMAO during most of it - you guys are hilarious!
The good part is it's 12am Sat. morning and I only have to wait a few more hours until I get to see cake pictures icon_lol.gif

Melysa, you are the queen of 'good business etiquette for Bridezillas', I can only hope to follow in your footsteps. I can't wait to see what happens between now and October! icon_wink.gif

........OKAY, well....NOT on the day you need your rest! Wow I have always disliked October (too close to winter!) and now I have a different outlook for this coming October.

Wow, great thread!

I will say though melysa that I think you blew it a little bit.

If you would have sent 1 more email telling her to kick rocks, she'd be outside washing your car with a toothbrush right now. icon_wink.gif Or perhaps a... "I wish I had time to work on the cake now... but I have to go pick up my dry cleaning... unless..." icon_wink.gif

Best of luck with the cakes!!!

Do you know, I almost feel sorry for this poor Bridezilla - almost.

I'm still new to this site, but I've already learned the important thing ... DO NOT MESS WITH A CC'ER !!!! icon_twisted.gificon_twisted.gificon_evil.gificon_evil.gif

the cake is in my photos. I went to bed at 6am this morning, thought i was going to have a heart attack because the middle tier cracked EVERYWHERE! yikes...it did last the entire afternoon though, and the couple said they loved it. i decided against carving the bottoms, it would have looked cool, but it also would have fallen over for sure! whew...done! icon_biggrin.gif

If she registers to see the pictures she can see the posts. Heck she can see them with out even registering. What happens if she gets curious and starts poking around different forums?

WOW! That is one awesome cake! I've been following this thread since the beginning and I must say I'm sure that this cake will make here seriously contemplate what she almost lost icon_biggrin.gif . Heck, it may even make her think twice when she's dealing with her other vendors. You ROCK!

What a beautiful cake icon_eek.gificon_eek.gif
I really hope she was grateful for the amazing talent that was put into her wedding cake - This is a definite for the favourites!
And, should she choose to hunt down the posts, then I hope she reads that I think she is a spoilt, nasty little brat who should have her bottom smacked icon_mad.gificon_mad.gif (And that was the NICEST thing I could think of to say!)

embarrassing for her, not you! Then she will see how lucky she is that you didn't kick her to the curb like a lot of us suggested you should. She will also see by 17 pages of comments how unusual and inappropriate her behavior was, and that we were supportive when you both resolved the issue like grownups. I'm just glad that there is a happy ending, and I'm glad you will get to make the wedding cake. It sounds like you are excited about the upcoming project - that's great for both of you!

great cake, BTW!

OMG! What a beautiful cake! That is truly a work of art! Glad it turned out so well!

Really, I don't think that she is going to go snooping like that. A lot of people don't think that hard into investigating everyone's personal posts. I mean...if she clicked on Melysa's posts there would be so many you would just go "Wow!" and go back to doing what you were doing. AND why would she even have a thought that Melysa would be putting something so personal on this website? I just don't see people doing something that weird...unless they need SERIOUS help...and I don't think she is THAT bad. LOL

Hope you were able to get lots of rest after all this drama and then having to worry about a cake, too. I'm happy for you this portion of making this beautiful cake is over with!!

I hope the wedding cake in the Fall goes a little more smoother for you. You have a wonderful gifted talent that I myself am just GREEN, I tell you, GREEN with envy!! icon_smile.gif

ok drum roll please.... i am really proud of how the wedding cake turned out! since some of you asked that i post an update when it was finished, here it is...

http://cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1148823

it was based off a cake by edith meyer (i changed the colors of the handmade gumpaste flowers and fondant, and added a fifth tier.)

http://www.edithmeyer.com/emilys.htm

you can also take a look in my photos for a close up of the gumpaste ranunculus (my first flowers!) and also of the vintage nintendo grooms cake. it came out pretty cool.

after the reception, i got a real GENUINE hug from the bride. she had a happy day, was very kind, and loved her cake. thumbs_up.gif
