could you maybe twist some 'twizlers' out of fondant strings; place on top of a sheet cake. Also, maybe look at a bag of twizlers and try to play on the words (e.g. make up fun sayings on the calorie / carbs / protien label).

Maybe kind of corny, but you could tie a fondant "twizzler" in a knot, and make some reference to "tying the knot" (ie. getting married?)

Sorry, maybe I haven't had enough coffee yet, but that's the first thing I thought of... icon_rolleyes.gif

Sometimes what helps me come up with how my cake will come out is when I look at pictures. These gives me ideas on how to construct and design the cake. So here are a few pics and some ideas to help you out.

http://graphics.samsclub.com/images/products/0003400051922_LG.jpg - I see a round cake with twizzlers on the side instead of cigarillos with a bow tied around it. Hmmm...

http://www.theonlinecandyshop.com/ProductImages/twizzlersbig.jpg I could see a sheet cake or a box cake with lid with some twizzlers coming out.

Hey JennsCakes,

I know these are not "twizzler" cakes but perhaps they can give you some ideas with making candy wrappers and such.

I would make the cake look like a bag that is open on one end, with the candy sticking out. You could do as the pp said and twist fondant to look like the twizzlers. Do them in advance so each individual piece can dry and hold its own shape. For the bag, since you can't really make it clear, I'd go with a red background. You can use a texture mat or just some toothpicks or a knife to give the ridged look on the ends of the bag where the plastic is sealed shut.

For the logo, print it out to the right size and cut it twice. First, cut the blue area behind the lettering, then cut the white "Twizzlers" lettering (in one piece, since the letters are all connected). Use your templates to cut the pieces in blue & white fondant, using an xacto knife. Use the same technique to do the strawberry and use a small toothpick to give you the texture.

That's what immediately comes to mind. Sounds like this will be a fun cake - can't wait to see the pics!!
