I have a cake coming up for next weekend (July 16th) for a wedding shower for two couples. I am at a total loss for what to do. I need to get about 40 servings out of the cake. The design was left up to me. I was thinking it would be good to have a cake or cakes that include both chocolate and white cake. Should I just do a sheet cake and decorate or two cakes (maybe ovals) with flowers. I didn't want them to be too busy. But I have no clue where to start.

HELP!!!

How about a sheet cake with two intertwining hearts staked on top?

maybe you could do the gift box cakes. that way there would be enough cake and you could easily make more than one flavor in cake and maybe even icing.
