I used a touch extra vanilla, and I use Mexican vanilla (Danncy). They were lightly flavored, not too bland, not overly sweet. Make sure to measure the salt - I used to just guess, but I measured for this as it was a new recipe for me, and it was a lot more than my guesstimate.
