Simple Syrup For Freezing Cake

should i always drizzle simple syrup before putting my cake in freezer to keep it moist? just wondering when to do it and when not to.

I use a simple syrup when after I baked the cakes and I can tell that the cake may be dry. But if the cake is ok I would go ahead and freeze it with out the SS. You can do it if you want too. No problem either way.
