I don't really know if I made the recipe wrong so it wasn't as set as it should be or if I shouldn't have put it in between the layers or what but it wasn't working for me! I trashed the cake right after I took these pictures. Check out the leaning tower of cake! I didn't bother trying to smooth it because I was having so much trouble with it leaning and the purple ribbon border around the bottom was just to waste the rest of the purple icing, not to look pretty icon_redface.gif

OH NO!! It's sliding! icon_cry.gif Just to check... did you make sure that the cake was stone cold before frosting? That is one of the biggest reasons this happens. I'm so sorry!!!

Isn't it awful???!!! Yes it was super cold, it sat in the fridge overnight, along with the icing, I frosted it first thing this morning. Thank goodness, it was only a practice cake!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh man... I wonder what happened. Like you said, you probably will have to fill it with something else next time. It still looks good to eat!! icon_wink.gif

Oh, I thought 'trashed it' meant with a fork! icon_lol.gif You didn't really throw it away did you? I know that angry feeling though, where you just want it out of your sight and NOW!! icon_mad.gif
