Hi I have a wedding cake to do in October. I know it's far awy in time, but I want to make sure I'm prepared.
I need to make orchids for this cake. I'd like to know if someone has a tutorial to make orchids, or a good book, what molds do I need (wich are the better ones to use) and so on...
Anyone that can help I'm thanking them already! You can post it here, pm me or email me! I'm going to Montreal in a week so if I have to go there to shop for the stuff I need, it's time!
Thanks a lot in advance I know I'll find help here
I am not sure what type of orchids you are looking for, but here is a discussion on moth orchids that ShirleyW has some instructions to. Jen

I'll pm ShirleyW maybe she has the ones I need, Why didn't think of pm'ing her right away? Geez, I've a whole month without coffe, it shows...
Wendoger, I need to make cymbidium orchids, do you have them in your book? What's the title of book? Where can I find it? Am I silly with all those questions???
...it's just a regular orchid, from the Wilton gumpaste flower book I bought at Michael's...have ya seen it?
In my home town there's no cake stuff shop. But I'm going to Montreal in week, you can be sure I'll go check everything I can. Just too bad I can't buy a lot, I need to bring back my nephew and niece so they can spend a little time with their grandparents. Other wise I have to order online.
I'll go on and check that book, maybe it can help with the basics.
Thanks a lot
My suggestion is get instructions quickly and start practicing. I have the Wilton book and tried making some orchids. Boy, they are harder than I thought they were going to be. Maybe I am just gumpaste challenged.
Gefion had a tutorial on cymbidium orchid's on her websight.

She uploaded a picture of a yellow one on this websight in the gumpaste/sugarpaste/marzipan gallery.
