Did I charge too much??

These is the cake the lady asked me to do 2 days in advance!
She wasn't very pleased beacuse she wanted it taller and bigger, little details she never said!
But at the end I charge her $32, do guys think it was too much?

Seriously? No. You didn't charge her too much at all. I think you could have charged her more. Especially on such short notice.

And why is she being particular about the design and deminsions AFTER the fact? icon_confused.gif Silly customer.

This is the cake you did on short notice after dealing with your son's illness? I think it came out great! Did you charge too much? @#*! no!!

Don't even concern yourself another second about it. She got a steal and should be kissing your feet for even doing it on such short notice icon_mad.gif the nerve of some people...

NO! For fondant work? This cake took a lot of work - I would say, between the baking and decorating this took you 6 hours minimum. You are paying yourself $5.33 per hour, not incuding your ingredient costs!

Guessing your ingredient costs:
box cake mix $3
eggs, milk, etc $3
fondant used $5
cake boards, paper towels (to clean), etc. $3

Minimum you spent $14 making this cake which means you really paid yourself $3 per hour (less than minimum wage)

Charge more.

She got quite a deal if you ask me. I charge more than that and I have not used fondant. It is custom cake for her. Nice job on the cake.
