ok, so i made a 2nd cheeseburger cake for the fair today...made sure it would taste good and everything...used yellow cake and then chocolate buttercream and rolled buttercream.....hubby drops me off at class and goes to register the cake. first the lady tells him the "taste" catagory is FULL. then, she goes to enter it in the "decoration" catagory...now mind u...i busted my butt to make sure it would be great to eat, made it in 3 hrs TOTAL, baking and all...FOR WHAT???? TO SIT AND ROT WHILE THEY LOOK AT IT!? he tried to tell her no, just forget it, and she WOULDN'T let him take it back. im so pissed right now....i could have gave them the crappier one i have in the fridge! OH and to make matters worse...after he had it wrapped lightly, cause its delicate icing, SHE SMUSHED IT DOWN 
i have the pics i took on the way, and then the wrapped mess that lady did to it! u can totally see the mustard and ketchup smushed all on the lettuce! and on the cheese! and when he turned around and see that he was like wtf! told her it was delicate and she just says "oh...it wont be judged till tomorrow, it'll be ok." WHAT!!?? i mean, is the little cake fairy gonna come and fix it over night!? cause i wont be there! i just wanna go over there and ring her neck! if i knew what lady it was, i prolly would. i think tomorrow morn. after its judged im gonna march right over there and snatch it back b4 it goes bad...that way I can enjoy it! sorry so long...just sooooooooo upset at how hard i worked so fast for nothin.
This must be County Fair right ? because the State Fair people
handles entries in a very onrganized way..

yea, it is the county fair...guess they just have some old lady with 1/2 a brain..prolly a volunteer too. ( not that all volunteers are clueless..or old lol)

I'd be super extremely irate! About everything! I'd withdraw it AND complain loudly, AND eat it myself...AND...and *spit sputter bleh gak ack arck argh* I don't even know what else...!
I enter in our fair most years, so I know what you can be up against.
When I took my cake in this year, I was like "Clear the perimeter, people, clear the perimeter! NO one come in this end of the room where this cake is sitting while I fill out this little card. Everyone just stay in your chair until I finish setting it up!"

well guys, good news! i got 1st place even with my smudgy ketchup and mustard! AND i went today and was able to take 1/2 the cake home to eat. and OMG its sooooooooooooooo good 
also, its been kinda chilly, so maybe sunday the other 1/2 will still be good...hmmm just maybe considering its still wrapped. i straightend up the 1/2 i left...kinda wiped off the smeard icing. but i'm attaching a pic of the 1/2 that i've torn into lol.
thanks everyone! i was really nervous walking into the building too see my cake! and when i saw 1st place it was like, awesome lol. the champion was this huge wedding cake, the only one in the fair.
