Ok, yes I've seen the CC's addiction warning and I tought, yeah right, that won't happen to me!! I was wrong, ooohhhh soooo wrong , the first thing I do in the morning is come to cc and the last thing I do at night is come to CC, and after lunch and after breakfast and while making dinner and while doing laundry, do I need to continue? you got the picture
Now I was thinking what could be the cure and there is nothing that comes to my mind, if there was a cure for CC's addiction, what do you think would be??

I was thinking a Cake Fairy, someone that can be with me all the time and clean all the mess after making a cake.

The problem is that I don't want to quit this addiction, am I the only one??

NO YOUR NOT ALONE.. Lord knows I need to go to Target to get new book by Nicholas Sparks, (haha another addiction of mine). I need to go to the pet store and get a different kind of heater for my baby turtle.. I have a couple of loads of laundry that need to be started.. I need to clean the backyard.. I need to lay out something for dinner.. I need to go get items needed for a cake due Sat.. SHOOT! I really need to do that!!!!!!
And here I am sitting in my chair on the computer.. On Cake Central... (sigh)

And can you believe my kids actually wanted me to make their lunches this morning AND work actually thinks I WANT to show up to get my paycheck? Ha, ha. The nerve of all of them when I want to sit and check out all the sites here.

According to my honey I seem to be having an affair with CC. First and last thing I do (and in between) everyday is log in and look for new ideas or helpful hints. My idea book is bulging at the seams. Thanks to all you talented people out there in cyberspace!!

I'm on CC so much, I'm surprised the dep't hasn't raised cain about it! I log on at home, and keep the lap-top somewhere near me--especially when "caking!"

I even go to a friend's house, and I'm like, "Let me show you this awesome cake I saw..." Yeah, right. It's just an excuse to read the latest forums!

Oh, I'm so glad it's not just me. First thing in the morning, I check my email and am so happy when I see: noreply@cakecentral! I can't help it though!! I was just thinking this morning that I was going to have to have designated CC 'times', otherwise I get on and can't seem to get off! Like right now...bathrooms to be cleaned, laundry to be folded, dishes to be done, yet here I am I....must.....do .......housework!!

I have 3 big baskets of clean laundry to fold I 've been procrasinating for the last two hours: ok, i read one more post and I'll go!!

I log on as soon as I get to work. I have gotten busted so must by my boss that i don't even close the page anymore. he knows what site i am on ALL DAY. I use to log on at home before work and at night but my family kept complaining so I don't do that anymore. But all day long I am on at work from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. I just can't get enough.

Maybe we need a shrink/therapist forum!

Ok, I have to finally admit it. Hello, I am a CC addict. I have to check it out before I wake the kids up in the morning, and about 20 times a day, and at night before I go to sleep I have to check it. And then it dawned on me last night. I was lying in bed and I couldn't sleep. I realized I was thinking about CC. Yep, that's it. I surrender.

I wonder if this is how a drug addict feels? CC is never far from my mind and if my computer is on at work you can be guaranteed that CC is on the screen somewhere (even if it is hidden behind some actual "work"). There are sooooooooo many awesome ideas that I just can't help myself. I've never seen a more knowledgable, helpful, and talented group of people anywhere! So yes, I'd like to join the addicts group.....

If being addicted to CC website is wrong, I don't wanna be right! I love it here. I find that I log on several times a day. I spend more time dreaming about cake than actually making it. It is too much fun to oohh and aaahhh over everyone's great cakes and get great ideas.
I'm so glad we all have an instant resource we can use for answers to questions and recipes when needed. It's a great place to be!

I feel like I have been deprived if I am out of town and don't get to log in.

I logon as soon as I'm at work and stay on all day...from 8 - 5. Thank God we don't have the internet at home or I'd be fighting my dh for "online time".

Hi, My name is Melvira and I'm a CC addict. At first I thought it was just fun. I thought, hey, it's just a website, right? Everyone is doing it. We're just sharing ideas and looking at cakes. Nobody is getting hurt. Then it started getting habitual. It wasn't just on weekends, or when I needed some information anymore. Pretty soon I'm logged on while the baby is napping, but still I'm thinking, I can quit any time. Next thing I know I'm up to like 30 posts a day, I can't stop, I'm out of control! I knew it had gotten bad two weeks ago when my husband, baby, and I went on a weekend trip. In the car on they way I just kept saying, "What am I going to do without CC for THREE DAYS? Can't we go somewhere with high speed access? Even dial up?" I had the shakes after the first six hours away from CC. It was awful. The minute we got home I logged on to get my fix. But, I don't want to quit. That's why I'm not going to CCA meetings anymore.

I work in a dispatch center for air medical helicopters and work 12 hr shifts. If we don't have any flights going on, I spend time on the internet. So, I pretty much peruse cake central.com about half of my work day It's awesome. They PAY ME to look at cakes and read cool stuff all day.

I too cannot seem to stop. I get all excited when I get a new email! it must be the stay-at-home mom thing...who would want to do laundry and make beds when you can learn knew stuff about cakes?
