Hi everyone!

As I mentioned a few weeks ago, I have received my very first paid order! The customer would like 40 cookies for her baby shower in the shape of the airplane you see below. The cutter measures 5.25" x 6.25". They will be very simple, with a MMF base and minor royal details. She would like them individually packaged with a ribbon and tag. I want to make this very reasonable, as it is a friend of a friend and I am just a beginner. Any suggestions about what I should charge? I was thinking $50.

Thanks so much for you help!

$50 is insane cheap and no way would I start out like that. Everyone will love these cookies, I'm sure, and they are HUGE and you will get more orders than you can handle if they are only a little more than a dollar a piece...

If you are ok doing them for cost then make sure your friend lets you include a sticker advertisement on each cookie bag and have some idea of what you would charge others if they are interested. The only time I can see doing things for free (even for friends) is if you can get free advertising...then, hopefully, it will pay for itself.

That really is way too cheap - I'm sorry. Maybe for a friend you could give her a discount and charge only $2 a piece but after that, a cookie wrapped and this size would have to be a $3.00 +cookie (they're huge!!) .... I bet if you sit down and figure ALL supplies and ingredients you will realize you are practically doing these for free.
