I've been jonesing for a nice dark chocolate cake with a coffee twist and I had a little lightbulb notion that I could possibly substitute Starbucks Frappuccino coffee drink (because I have several cases around the house) for water or milk in my mix and/or frosting.

I was considering using the "Perfectly Chocolate" cake and frosting recipes on my Hershey's cocoa can.

Would this work?

Thanks for any help or advice you can offer!

Honestly, I don't think the Frappuccino drinks have enough coffee flavor to give your cake a noticable coffee flavor because the amount you'd use isn't very much. An option to consider is brewing up some strong coffee or espresso and using that icon_smile.gif

I was thinking that might be the case. Thanks for your response!
