I am working on a project where I am going to do any entire cake, decorated and all, in/with things I've never done! I want to use MMF, but what icing do I need to crumb coat with? I don't know my cake flavors yet...it will be four tier, so I would like to try two different flavors I've never had. Any suggestions? Thanks, Katie icon_biggrin.gif

You can just crumb coat with buttercream. My favorite flavoring for MMF is almond. Good Luck!

Okay, I have two buttercreams that I do, one is all crisco and the other is all butter. The crisco has lemon, vanilla, and almond flavoring, so it has a citrus flaovr. What type of flavor does MMF have? It sounds like it would be VERY sweet!

MMF has no flavor unless you add one...it is sweet...but good icon_wink.gif If you flavor it, add the flavor when ya add the color...right after the microwave.
You sound like your gonna have some fun!!! I wanna come! icon_wink.gif

I've been using the LorAnn oils to flavor my MMF and had a lot of success with it . . . the bonus is that they have tons of flavors to choose from!

I have never used creamer to flavor mmf...and that is a fantastic idea to flavor it with mint and put on a chocolate cake...great idea!
