Hi I will be using Antonia74's royal icing recipe for my son's class cookies tomorrow but I jusr read the recipe and it says to let cookies dry for 48 hours before packing them. I will be wrapping them up by sets of two in cello wrap will they be dry enough by then or will color flow be quicker to dry? cookies are average size

I use a fan blowing on my cookies when I need them to dry fast.

It's always worked for me in a pinch, especially when they are not very big .

I don't put it very close, just in the general area is enough to do the trick .

Depending on the weather . . . when its hot and dry here the icing has set up in less than 24 hours. With the time constraints though, why don't you consider covering the cookies in flavored MMF and piping with Royal Icing accents? Its quick and turns out beautiful.
