I want to try this cake from the Cake Mix Doctor:

Triple-Decker Raspberry Chocolate Cake, in the recipe it calls for
1 package (18.25 ounces) devil's food cake mix with pudding.

I was planning on using the BC Devils Food Cake Mix for this. Can I just measure out the 18.25 oz (we have more in our packaging) and then add a packet of chocolate pudding? And if so what does your pudding additives weight at?

Thanks for your help

Cheryl

the beauty of a cake mix is that its almost impossible to screw them up! (read the first part of her book). so, if it were me, i would just use your cake mix and add a pudding box. if it seems a little too thick, then i would add a bit more of the liquid that it calls for. im sure it will turn out just fine, and i bet it will taste really good!
