I just got off of the phone with the husband of one of my co-workers. He is getting ready to open a family style restaurant with a friend of his. He is supposed to sign the lease on the place tomorrow. It used to be run by a Greek family that owned 4 restaurants. This particular restaurant was where all of the pastries were made for all 4 resturants. He said it's actually a little separate kitchen space and he wanted to know if I might be interested in coming in and taking a look after they sign the lease. He said he didn't know what works but there's at least a large oven and a huge mixer. He thought I might be interested in working something out but he hadn't thought about what or how - just thought he'd throw it out there to see if i'd even be interested. OF COURSE I'M INTERESTED! I'll have to see what's there and what works. Does anyone have an arrangement like this with someone? Any suggestions on what to do? It's totally open to suggestions at this point. Being legal would be great! He mentioned maybe making the desserts to serve at the restaurant or just doing my own thing - like I said he was just checking to see if I might be interested before he started tearing things up (the restaurant has been closed for a while now)
Thanks in advance for any suggestions. . .
Debbie
