I haven't read this whole thread, but what does it smell/taste like?

I just read Sugarshakes BC recipe. It refers to coffee creamer in the instructions but not in the list of ingredients.

How much do you use? And what does the creamer do? is it for flavor or texture? or both?

TIA

I have been using Sharon's (sugarshack) icing recipe tips for months. I did a taste test with family & friends....I had other BC recipes that I used (they all had the same flavorings), everytime they all pick Sugarshacks recipe over the others. Everyone like the smoothness, creamyness, lightness and over all texture of this icing. IMO, and theirs this is a icing recipe that works for our taste buds.

With her recipe & tips I really love the look, texture, creamyness of her recipe. If you read the post "My buttercream tips" by Sharon, please try to read all of the thread, there are some really great tips through out the thread and a few pictures.

hey ladies

Glad it si working for you!

I just wanted to mention that recently I have only needed 12-13 TBS of liquid.... I think it varies with each batch of shortening I get. So don't get too anal about the amount of liquid needed; you the right amount you need to get the consistency you want, and keep in mind it might change...'Quote'

As for me I start out with 12 to 14 tablespoons, after I have mix my icing and find I want a thicker consistency, I add more PS, if I want a thiner consistency I had 1 tablespoon at a time till I get the texture I am looking for. My daughter also use this recipe for her 1st. FBCT she did, and it work very well for the size and what she did.

I hope to order some of the Wedding Bouquet Flavoring Emulsion soon, and give it a try. I hope some of this info is helpful.

God Bless,
Sharon

I ordered a quart on Friday and it cost $24.00 plus she charged me $8.00 to ship it. She asks that you send her a check and when she receives it, she will ship the flavouring to you.

So by ordering a quart -- I had better luv it!! and so hopefully everyone else will too!! I did not get prices on the other sizes -- she was rattling off the sizes she offered and when I heard quart I just jumped on that size.

i cannot describe the taste excpet delish.LOL

it has a combo of almond, vanilla, butter and other secret yummies.

I use 4TBS in 5 pounds PS recipe but if you like it less strong, use less; just play with it till you find the amount you like. I use it in icing; my friend puts it in her cake.

and oh the smell.........................

PS.... no I am not getting any kick backs for promoting it; I just LOVE IT icon_biggrin.gif

Sharon, you should talk to her about setting up a Paypal account.

I want to order some SO BAD, but I am the WORST....we're talking Post OFfice PHOBIC, about mailing stuff!!

I'd be afraid I'd NEVER get the check out to her!

Oh how Computers and technology have spoiled me!!

Haha.. I'm the exact same way.. That's the only thing that's kept me from ordering. I'm just about as bad with a phone. I absolutely can not stand to talk on a phone, not even to place an order. Maybe she should consider a website and paypal account, though if she had paypal, I'm sure I could talk myself into calling and ordering. I don't even order checks any more, since I pay all my bills online through my bank now.. heh

I'm such a geek.

she's a little country lady; Paypal may be too high tech for her to handle....LOL

but she just started taking orders out of town, so if she gets super busy she might consider it; I will mention it next time I talk to her! thumbs_up.gif

Mee too it takes me forever to get something out. But now I think the post office will come to you. Go to: http://www.usps.com/ and you can purchase stamps. You can even print out shipping labels and schedule the mailman/woman to come to your door and pick it up. Now THAT is service! It's also the lazyman/womans post office dream icon_razz.gif

Thanks.
