I have been using Sharon's (sugarshack) icing recipe tips for months. I did a taste test with family & friends....I had other BC recipes that I used (they all had the same flavorings), everytime they all pick Sugarshacks recipe over the others. Everyone like the smoothness, creamyness, lightness and over all texture of this icing. IMO, and theirs this is a icing recipe that works for our taste buds.
With her recipe & tips I really love the look, texture, creamyness of her recipe. If you read the post "My buttercream tips" by Sharon, please try to read all of the thread, there are some really great tips through out the thread and a few pictures.

hey ladies
Glad it si working for you!
I just wanted to mention that recently I have only needed 12-13 TBS of liquid.... I think it varies with each batch of shortening I get. So don't get too anal about the amount of liquid needed; you the right amount you need to get the consistency you want, and keep in mind it might change...'Quote'
As for me I start out with 12 to 14 tablespoons, after I have mix my icing and find I want a thicker consistency, I add more PS, if I want a thiner consistency I had 1 tablespoon at a time till I get the texture I am looking for. My daughter also use this recipe for her 1st. FBCT she did, and it work very well for the size and what she did.
I hope to order some of the Wedding Bouquet Flavoring Emulsion soon, and give it a try. I hope some of this info is helpful.
God Bless,
Sharon
