Onceuponacake, yes, you would simply not use WB and would use lemon, vanilla, or whatever the customer requests.
I know what you mean about not being able to resist purchasing WB any longer! I felt the same way and when ozcookie needed someone to help her get some shipped to Australia that is when I said OK, I'll help ozcookie and order mine at the same time. Payment is in the mail and hopefully I'll be trying it out this time next week! It sounds soooooooooo good!

Sure hope you got your ordered today! icon_smile.gif

Has anyone whose tried WB also tried the Creme Royal from Sugarcraft? I love that stuff, but seeing as Sugarcraft has a redwood tree up their a$$, and I've chosen to take my business elswhere, I'm hoping to find a flavoring similar. Is WB similar?

Susie,

Sandra said it does not need to be refridgerated but to keep it at room temperature and to always remember to shake it really well before each use.

I also really enjoyed my conversation with Ms. Sandra!! I do have one question for those who have already received it. I know it is a "secret recipe," but there is an ingredient label? I have to label the cakes, cookies, etc., that I sell "off the shelf" and I'm unsure how to go about doing that if there isn't an ingredient label.

Yes, I was checking for msgs one last time before going back to painting the rest of the upstairs living room. While I do not mind painting and actually enjoy it, I would much rather be here at CC! LOL icon_lol.gif
Oh well, today I'll finish the painting then the entire house will be painted! Finally!!

Can't wait to get my WB!!!

TeeKakes,
Well, that is good news that painting will be done. We redid our whole upstairs a few years back and it was a ton of work but it looks good.
I spend a lot of time here too. icon_smile.gif

Okay, I just can't real all these posts today. Can someone just point me to the bc recipe everyone is referring to please? I'd like to try it. Also, does anyone have a description of this Wedding Bouquet flavoring? I use and love creme bouquet. To me it's a warm vanilla with some citrus flavors too. Some like it and some don't. I'm real interested in the WB flavoring too.

Thank you!
Carol

...it's a doozy too.

Search the recipe for "sugarshack". She posted the recipe and tips there as well.

Does anyone know if you can use the Hi-Ratio Sweetex shortening in the Wilton Buttercream Icing recipe in place of Crisco...will there be a difference?

Carol -- Do you use the creme bouquet in place of vanilla/butter flavorings for your icing? I recently purchased some from CK Products and have yet to try it. I am excited about getting the Wedding Bouquet; however, I am really worried about my labeling issues and I know this won't be a problem with the creme bouquet from CK.

There is an ingredient label that starts out by listing Oil of lemon and then it says "other essential oils" along with the rest of the ingredients. I will PM it to you if you like. I think the "other essential oils" is her secret. icon_smile.gif

southerncake,
Hi. I usually use a little butter flavor with the CB. But a little of the Cb goes a long way. Start out with a tsp then mix some and taste. I've gotten bolder with it as I've used it more. I sure love it though. It's fantastic in MMF for cookies. On my butter cookies it's just like eating a great piece of white on white cake. I do plan to order some of the WB when I have the extra funds. I hope you like the Creme Bouquet.

Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know I received the Wedding Bouquet today. It smells so wonderful that I'm tempted to dab a little behind my ears so I smell just as yummy! I'm sure it will taste just as great. Can't wait to try it in Sugarshack's icing recipe.

Thank you, Sharon, for sharing this with us.

How long did it take for you to get it? I just sent my check on 8/23. I have a cake to do next Fri, and wasn't sure if I would have it by then.

GolfAddict,

I ordered mine about 2-1/2 weeks ago. I read in another post that Miss Sandra was waiting for an order. I called her today and she said she mailed it on Saturday. Sure enough, the mail came and it arrived today. She may be a little behind in mailing if she had a backlog. Why don't you give her a call?

Is that Wedding Bouquet very expensive. I don't want to sound cheap or anything, but I am just starting in this and my DH already thinks I have spent way to much money on this. With classes and supplies and such.

8 oz = $7.00
quart = $24.00

plus shipping (It was about $5 to ship from LA to DFW area.)

I paid $24 for a quart with $10 to ship. The shipping rates I guess had gone up $2 from July or something like that. I sure hope I like it for $34. icon_smile.gif

susies1955 ~ We know you got yours yesterday. Have you tried it yet? No, well watcha waitin for? C'mon we want to hear.

I thought I saw another post about comparing the WB to other emulsions, but I can't find anything now. I haven't tried any of them - creme bouquet, butavan, etc. So I am interested in hearing how they all differ from one another.

When the package came I had just cleaned up the kitchen after making 12 cups of icing. icon_smile.gif I don't think I want to make anymore this week. icon_smile.gif
I've got a birthday cake to do tomorrow and one Sat.
I'll let you know when I know.

That forum you are talking about was posted by me. It was comparing the WB to Butavan. Only 4 people responded and none of them has tried both emulsions. I was a little surprised by the lack of response. However here is the link

Since this post is so popular I hope people will comment on here about the two emulsions and why they like one over the other. icon_smile.gif

Just received my Wedding Bouquet today and within 30 minutes had the best batch of buttercream ever! Sugarshack's recipe and Wedding Bouquet are the best combo ever! Man, that stuff is sinful! I couldn't stop eating it! If you haven't bought any, you definitely should!

Have you ever tried the creme bouquet or butavan? How is it different than those?

ceme~ Thanks for the link. I am surprised more people didn't respond.
