I need to make a 3D person for a cake, but I don't have the stuff for marzipan and I don't have sugarpaste. Will he hold up if I make it using the candy clay recipe?
it really depends on how hot it is, but if the figure is kept at normal room temp it should be fine
Well, I'm attempting an Uncle Sam cake. It will be kept inside, but I do have to transport him and it's been hitting close to 90 everyday. Would that be a problem? (short drive)
P.S. Thanks!!!!
if you keep him out of the direct sun and use somekind of internal support, you should be okay. If he is small and just going to be placed on top of the cake, i would maybe put him in a cooler and place him on top when you get there.
Oooh! Good idea (transporting him separate)! The design recommended to me already has dowel rods--so hopefully all will work out!
Let us know how you make out. I made MMF people last week and they got all sticky. Maybe candy clay is the way to go...
Sure thing...keep in mind this is all assuming that I have any clue what I'm doing and that my figure even minutely resembles Uncle Sam HAHA
