I was so excited to pick up the new Wilton yearbook today... but .. it's a little disapointing.. Ho hum to be exact.. icon_cry.gif
But then to my delight I found a copy of Debbie Brown's "naughty cakes". That is an awsome, fresh book!

I just picked up the year book today too, and I am very disappointed. It seemed like they had hardly any new ideas. Usually I get a year book and I can't wait to try almost all of them. This year I'm like, I really didn't need to buy this book!!! thumbsdown.gif

I definatlely agree!! If anyone out there is looking to buy this book, look through it thoroughly first. It's worth the time it takes to look through it in the store so you don't purchase it if your not impressed. Just a little word of advice!!!

I did look through it...I wasn't impressed...I didn't buy it. Wait a few months, you'll be able to get it on eBay for 2 bucks. icon_wink.gif

I thought the whole pate and meat salad section was just a little creepy!

I didn't think you could get "Naughty Cakes" yet. I tried to order it through Amazon and they won't have it until September. icon_confused.gif

Seems we are all in agreement here. My sweet mom bought me a copy and I didn't tell her but I was disappointed as well. There sure weren't many new ideas and although I thought there whole section on cupcakes were kind of cute I've seen better ideas on here every day. Maybe they need to employ some of you cake central pros before they print next years!!

I was less than impressed also, bought it only because I have almost everyone back from the beginning, more of a collector piece. In my humble opinion, the 1996, 1997 were the absolute best, those are my most often used and most dog eared, the best ideas.

I didn't buy it either. I flipped through it and it all looked basically the same stuff as last year. Plus a lot of subliminal messages to but their cupcake tree stand! hehe icon_smile.gif

I´d get the "naughty cakes" last week from Amazon.germany and it´s worth the money. For my Wilton book i have to wait till September-October, but when I read your posts, I don´t know if I should buy it ...

I agree. It wasn't worth the $$ spent on it. AND--all I kept seeing was stuff to do with their stupid cupcake tree. I'm not interested in having to store something like that when I KNOW I wouldn't use it that much.

I purchased the Naughty Cake's last weekend at Barnes and Noble. It has a lot of cute ideas and modelling techniques.

I was dissappointed in the yearbook too...
