Happy 4th of July, Happy Canada Day Weekend

Wishing all of my fellow Canucks a happy Canada Day, July 1st and wishing all of our American pals a happy 4th of July weekend coming up! We both get a long weekend, yey!
Since a lot of folks hit the highway early for this weekend, thought I better get a message out early. Please be safe, it is always a bad time of year for accidents with so many folks on the roads and with the extreme heat in some areas, the black flies and mosquitoes will drive the moose, deer and elk and other critters, onto the roads. Geesh, maybe with the ridiculously high gas prices, more folks will stay home!

Heehee Galaglo, we Canucks get off a lot easier if we make a flag cake, now don't we? Heehee, two colours, one leaf, three stripes, that is it! Hhmn, much easier than all of those stars and stripes!
I miss living in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario. We used to celebrate Canada Day, sing the anthem watch the fireworks then go across the border to the Sault Michigan, sing the anthem, watch the fireworks.
Heehee, funny how most Canadians can sing the American anthem and know the words when we have a far simpler anthem, that the government kept revising the words to until nobody knows them.

Happy Canada Day & Happy 4th!!!!!!!

My family will be having a BIG family reunion at a lake nearby. It is a 4 day affair!!!!!! More then 150 family members will be there!! We have a wonderful time!!!! We only do this every 5 yeas so family for far off can attend too.
