imartsy - I think that is a great idea!!! I, for one, will try to get there more often, even if it is only to give a bump!!

Ok, I'm the "newbie" here, what does it mean when people are saying "bump". I have seen it several times, I'm clueless!!!

I always check unanswered posts - however I have to agree w/ RisqueBusiness - ALOT of these are repetative, and with a little effort, most of these inquiries, can be found in previous threads. I went in the other day, and put in "petit fours" and pulled up TONS of threads... almost all were "how to do" and "pricing" - they seemed to repeat week after week (check out the dates). Same with the "pricing" question on cakes... honestly, I don't even look at those anymore (sorry!) ButI will continue to check the unanswered posts, and help where I can!

I agree with everyone. I'm new but I'll take a look every so often and see if I can answer a post that no one has responded to.

I do have to say that I completely agree with the need for searches. I've never started a thread because every time I search for the answer to whatever question I have, I find multiple threads that are related to my search!

I will start checking them as I always feel bad for the people with 0 or 1 replies, mostly because its usually me icon_lol.gif

I agree about the repeat posts but most of them are newbies and we have all been there at some point... That is why I hardly ever start a topic and just search until I find an answer because I don't want anyone to yell at me lol.

I am a newbie too and not as smart on this stuff and everyone else but I will make it a point to contribute where I can on the unanswered questions. I have posted questions twice on this site and both times everyone has been there for me and the help is priceless!!!

Gotta give a little to get a little, as they say!!!!
Thanks for bringing to my attention, I will look for that tab and check on unanswered.

Being a newbie I probably won't be able to answer too many questions, but I WILL go in and look at them. I know I had one that didn't get a response, I figured it was a weird question and didn't think too much about it. But if there are pages and pages, I will do my part, as best I can.

So your time is more valuable than mine? You're too important to search CC (or epicurious or recipesource or marthastewart) yourself, and I should? That's some sense of privilege, KWIM.

What kills me are the incessant requests for "a good recipe for X cake." I'm going to read that and decide that Oh! She wants a good recipe for X cake! Guess the lousy recipe I already posted won't work for her, so I'll post the <i.good one this time.
