I have a lady who would like to order 60 of these cookies. She wants them exactly like this decorated and packaged. I have never made cookies to sell before (I made these for a friends shower) so how much should I sell them to her for? They are NFSC covered with MMF and decorated with royal icing. Oh yeah they are hand cut I made the stencil and have to cut every piece with a blade.
Please help any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks
Jackie

With the bags and tags, I'd say no less than 2.00, probably 2.25 each.

Gorgeous! $3.50-$4 each easily! Or you could give her a bit of a deal for so many, say $175-$200 for 60. Good luck!

Ithink it all depends on your area......but you're talking anywhere from 1.50 to 2.50 per cookie bagged and tagged like that. You need to figure up your expenses, not only for cookie ingredients but the bags, the paper tag, and ink used to print. If I were you I would also make a cookie cutter so you don't spend more time than you have to cutting them out........especially if you need 60 cookies!!

I charge about .75 per inch and would probably charge .50 per tag like that and to do that many it would be worth your time and money to buy the onsie, bottle and carriage cutter. Makes things go much quicker for under $5 in cutters.

I would charge $3-$4 you are packaging each cookie. Is sold alone $2.50

look at this duck cookie in a organza back you have to order three -
cost $9.70

or how about $7.37 per cookie in the arrangement, remove and maybe it will cost $5 per cookie

http://www.cookiesbydesign.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=A246

baby feet 4 for $19.95

http://www.cookiepots.com/Pitter-Patter.htm

or her where a standard decorated cookie is $5

just to give you idea where you need to be. Deocated cookies are not cheap and when they wanted it all packaged up it adds up. If she loves the cookies and really wants them then she will buy. What ever price you decide do not back down to get the order. We will here you complain later about how made you are. Find a price you are happy with and do not change. Also have a set minium on how many to order 3, 6, 9.

good luck

I think that the idea of buying the cookie cutter is very important, it never hurt to make life easier. Here is a link to a place where you can get them at a very reasonable price (I think).
