Hi everyone,
How many people would a 8'' stacked cake serve? I am looking to serve 15 people. The problem is I only have 2 8" pans...as you can see I'm very new to this icon_smile.gif Thanks for any help you can provide.

i'd say that an 8 inch would serve 15 people fine as long as you dont want huge peices. It depends on where you look, some places say it serves 12 and some say 20. I'd probably go with the 12-15 servings for an 8 inch.

At the bakery I work at we always say an 8 inch will serve to to 12 people. I would do a 9x13, in your case. That will serve about 20.

I'd use it as an excuse to invest in some new pans icon_lol.gif ! I say to my customers that a 2 layer 8in round is 12 party servings. 9in I say is 16 servings. 9in pans are great to have as many cake recipes/cake mixes use that size as their basis. Hope that helps!
