I have been asked to make a Rock Star Diva cake (party theme) for a 7 yr. old girl.

Does anyone have any ideas or pics of cakes you've done? The party will have karoke, dancing and dress-up. The only thoughts I have are music notes, a microphone?, bright pink feather boa around cake board?

HELP!!! I've been doing so many princess cakes lately that my brain is completely consumed by that!

A karaoke machine with a microphone? If you do a search in the gallery, I think you will find a few ideas.

Pink Electric Guitar, Microphone and the hand of rock (from my daughter that is 8 and a little rocker herself)

I'd say a leopard print cake in maybe pink and black. I'd cover the board with the look of fishnet stockings, something like that.

i would get some sparkles in there. black and hot pink would look awesome together. like the boa idea... get that in there somehow.

the cake could be a stage with some stage lights around the edges (near the border)
you could have the stage lights pointing toward the sides of the cake and wherever a colored light shines on the cake you could spray a little of that color onto the frosting. (with either the wilton sprays or an airbrush )

you could make exaggerated speakers that look like they are busting out rockin' tunes. maybe some wire could extend out from the speakers with fondant music notes and hot pink lightening bolts? oh, and get some sparkles on those speakers.
